Our Events
MEOTRA has a long history of hosting events for the community. From summer fun-days, to pub quizzes, to the carols in the square, we do our best to get people together. Coming to an event is a great way to make new friends in the area. If you’d like to volunteer at any of the events, we’d love that. Similarly if you have any ideas for future events let us know at: committee@meotra.org
Carols in the Square
Join us for the seasonal favourite of carols in Tredegar Square. We’ll have mulled wine, mince pies and treats for the children. Bring your festive voices and a lantern if you have one.
Gardening in the Square
Fancy getting out for a bit of winter gardening and a chat with friends and neighbours? Join us in Tredegar Square for a couple of hours of bulb planting, weeding and catching up. We’ll provide tea and cake, but do bring along something to share if you can. Please also bring a trowel and gloves if you have them.
Spookiest House Contest
Let the streets of MEOTRA be aglow with the orange of pumpkins! The MEOTRA committee will take a terrifying tour of the area and dispatch its cauldron of bats with a prize to the creepiest house.
Bow West Safer Neighbourhood Meeting
The Bow West safer neighbourhood panel meeting is scheduled for Thursday 18th January 18:30-19:30. It will take place at New Testament Church of God/Epainos Ministries. Please use the Lichfield Road entrance.
This is an opportunity to discuss and impact the policing policies for this area. If you have any concerns about safety, criminal behaviour or similar then come along and make your voice heard.
If you have any questions about the meeting or accessibility issues please contact Cllr Nathalie Bienfait here.
Christmas Carols
Our annual carols in the square are back. Expect mince pies, mulled wine and a whole lot of singing. We may even be joined by Father Christmas…
Halloween Spookiest House
Aberavon or Coborn. Grove or Lichfield... which MEOTRA street will host the spookiest house?
Parade your perturbing pumpkins or your ghastly ghosts and the meotra committee will pick the horrible-ist house in the neighbourhood.
“Tredegar Square feels like a hidden private garden for the neighbourhood. It's a haven for East London.”
