Formed in 1975 and united around the goal of protecting the area from development, MEOTRA has a long history of bringing the community together.
From these early days of planning battles through to social events, carols, summer fairs and everything in between, MEOTRA exists to make the local area better for all.
You can view the MEOTRA constitution here. Adopted at the 2024 Annual General Meeting, this is an updated version of the 1996 constitution.
Over the years, many local residents have been part of the MEOTRA committee. They have helped to shape the organisation and bring the community together. If you’d like to know more about joining the committee, email us at: committee@meotra.org.
The current committee are:
Francis Caestecker - Alloway Road
Christopher Rawlins (Treasurer) - Aberavon Road
Sarah Sarkhel (Secretary) - Lichfield Road
Vivien Turner - College Terrace
If you’d like to email the committee, drop us a note at: committee@meotra.org.
"I feel lucky to live here because there is always someone to play with."
