Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from MEOTRA

We’re writing this still aglow with the festive buzz from this year’s carols in the Square. It was a joyful gathering of friends and neighbours, singing tunefully, powered by copious mince pies.

As ever, we were overwhelmed by the appetite for mulled wine and the generosity shown by residents. Our collection for Bow Food Bank raised a whopping £1518.94 (more than doubling last year’s collection). This, together with £250.00 match funding , takes us to £1768.94 for our local food bank. Though we all look forward to the day where food banks are no longer needed, this is a real success. Thank you.

As we wrap up for the year, we wanted to share a round-up of all of the fun-filled events we’ve had this year. From the Easter Egg Hunt, to the Summer Fun Day. Bulb-planting, Spooky Halloween happenings, and this weekend’s carols. It’s been a pleasure to join together and celebrate the strength and positivity in the community.
