Happy new year!
On behalf of the whole MEOTRA committee, we wish you a very happy new year. As ever, our top resolution is to keep bringing the community together whether through events, newsletters or general support.
Before we start thinking of the year ahead we want to thank everyone who attended the carols in Tredegar Square just before Christmas. It was a brilliant turnout with plenty of familiar faces, together with many new faces too.
The singing was tuneful, the mulled wine was flowing and we even had a visit from Mother Christmas and Frosty the Snowman 🤶 ☃️. A big cheers to pianist Tom Harvey who kept everyone in key. A very special thank you to Alice and Sue who provided the mince pies, and committee member Vivien who prepared the mulled wine and led the event so well.
We are very happy to announce that we collected £700 for Bow Food Bank which was match funded by Aviva to make a whopping £1400. This, together with the items of food donated on the night, was very gratefully received by the food bank. A huge thank you for your generosity.
With very best wishes for 2024.
