Consultations impacting the MEOTRA area

Tower Hamlets Council currently has a number of consultations that will be of interest to many MEOTRA residents. It is very unusual to have so many consultations at once and so you might have to prioritise which ones you would like to look at (if any!).

Some of the consultations can be responded to by email, whilst for others you have to be registered with the Tower Hamlets Council’s talk.towerhamlets.gov.uk website (which is quick and easy to register with).

If you have any queries about the consultations that you think we may be able to help with then please email committee@meotra.org.

Here are the consultations in order of closing date:

1. Redesignation of the Roman Road Bow Neighbourhood Forum

Further information is available on the council’s Roman Road Bow Page

Please send all representations to neighbourhoodplanning@towerhamlets.gov.uk by 5pm on Thursday 10 October 2024.

2. Design guidelines for mansard roof extensions

The council is seeking feedback on a proposal to adopt mansard roof design guidelines for three conservation areas, Clinton Road, Ropery Street and Tredegar Square. If approved, the guidelines will help some residents to get planning permission to extend their homes upwards with a mansard roof.

Please note the detailed consultation documents for the Tredegar Square and Clinton Road Conservation Areas are on the top right of the consultation page.

This consultation will be open until Sunday 27 October 2024.

3. London Borough of Tower Hamlets Parking Enforcement Plan

Tower Hamlets Council understands that local people know their neighbourhood best and want everyone in the community to give feedback on current policies and parking arrangements across Tower Hamlets.

This consultation will be open until Monday 4th November 2024.

4. Dog-control public spaces protection order (PSPO) consultation

Tower Hamlets Council has launched its consultation on dog control.

As part of the consultation, residents, businesses, and stakeholders are being invited to share their views on whether we should introduce certain rules around dogs in public spaces across the borough.

The consultation asks questions on a variety of dog control related issues. Feedback from the consultation will help to shape and inform whether the council introduces a dog control PSPO.

This consultation does not have a stated end date.
